How to get from Port Canaveral to MCO?

Hi,

 

I'm cruising on Glory 11/27 and I was planning to rent a car to get from the airport to the pier and then do the reverse to get back to the airport. I have reservation with Budget at a great price for the trip to the pier, but the website is showing a rental cost of $99.99 to pick it up in Cape Canaveral and drop it off at the airport. Is this typical? or does it have something to do with the hurricanes? Does anybody know what the carnival transfer from port to airport cost per person?

Carnival transfers are $50 pp roundtrip next month. The trip is about 50 minutes plus the time taken to fill the bus. I find Carnival transfers the most convenient in Port Canaveral.
