BethCarp Posted January 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2008 So I'm debating between a shuttle (I've heard good and bad things) and a taxi. The cheap side of me wants to take the shuttle but we'll be getting in at 11pm "our time" and will be grumpy if we have to wait an hour to leave. Or drive all over LA dropping people off. I figure at 9:30pm it could take awhile to find people to fill up the shuttle. I'm assumming that at 9:30pm the traffic from LAX to San Pedro will be fairly smoothe so the taxi fare will be on the lower end, which I understand is about $50. Is that a safe assumption? Of course, this doesn't take into account accidents or construction, but normal flow of traffic at that time. ETA: This is tomorrow night--Thursday. lousyman Posted January 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Trafficwise you are more than fine at this time of the evening, regardless taking a taxi or the shuttle. Only open question is, how dependable is a shuttle at night? Check it out upon arrival, may be there is a SP shuttle circiling the AP. What ship are you leaving on? We are overlooking from our balcony the LAX Harbours, wan't to wave goodbye.
BethCarp Posted January 3, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 3, 2008 That's a good point about checking out the shuttle once we get there. Maybe if it's ready to go, we'll just hop on. If not, then at least we're not tied down with a reservation. Thanks! We're on the Monarch leaving Friday. I'll make sure to wave! :D
Cruisin' Chick Posted January 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I'm guessing you might not be back online. Oh, well, hopefully it won't start raining until after you get to your hotel. If not, there may be slow traffic.
