twotraveljunkies Posted January 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Like to know if those who brought their younger children had a good experience on the NCl Dawn. We are avid cruisers for many years and have brought our kids on Royal Caribbean and Carnival so far. We are trying to compare some of the child friendly features such as kids programs and pool area for the younger kids especially. We are choosing NCL this time because of the Freestyle but want to know first if the others were up to par as well. We were disappointed twice with Carnival's cabin noise and their kiddie pool if you call it that. We have a 2 (almost 3) and 4 1/2 year old. Thanks!! DAGVBSB Posted January 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2008 The Dawn has a great kids pool. The entire back part of Deck 12 is the Kids Pool with lots of slides, etc. Our kids loved it. (my daughter says it was second best to the kids pool on the Star....) Kids must be potty trained in order to use the pools, including kids pools. Swim Diapers are not allowed due to Health Regulations. Kids Club is great and with kids of that age, they will be grouped together. Again, if the younger one is not potty trained, you will be given a beeper and paged to come when the child needs changed.
