We went in January. The ride is about 1 1/2 hour with the guides telling about the history of the area and showing some of the small temples on the way. When you get to the small town by the Cenotes, you move to small rail carts pulled by horses that take you to the Cenotes about 15 minuinte trip.

We went to two out of the many Cenotes around the area. The first one we went to was about 10 min. pass the first stop. We went about 15 feet down wood stair to a platform about 8 feet above the water.

You could jump in from there or take more stairs to the water. The water is crystal clear and the bottom looks like it only 5 feet down, but it is about 30 feet. We swam for about 30 minutes before going to the other Cenote. The other Cenote has a river flowing thru it but you can not feel the water move. We swam again for about 30 minutes before going back to the van and getting a box lunch from the lady and children where the van was parked. 1 1/2 later and we were back at the ship.

The only bad thing is the snokel mask are not very good. I would bring my own next time to see the cenotes better.
