You cannot pick up a car rental at the pier in Port Everglades or Port of Miami. You can take a car rental shuttle to their respective locations outside of the secured port zone.

Thanks Bequia.

Can I book with Budget and get a car without going to the airport facility and then return it to the airport?

Probably have to take shuttle to airport and pick up there...right?

Thanks

Fish, you can call the Budget location at the Quay Shopping Plaza on SE 17th Street for a pick-up at the port. Truthfully though, you'd be better off spending $10 on a cab to take you there.

OP, We have the same issue of having several hours after the cruise before our flight. We are renting a vehicle from Hertz, they said that a shuttle would take us to a non-airport location to pick up the vehicle, and then we could drop it at the airport location prior to our flight. Call them and see what they can offer you.

Does anyone know if you can pick up at a non-airport location near POM and drop off at airport in FLL? Do you think there will be hefty one-way drop off fees that would make this cost prohibitive? I'm looking for a way to spend a nice day in Miami with transportation and then get my DH and myself back to FLL for eod flight.

MMBARRON

We have done this twice, both times after our Majesty sailings.

We just got a reasonable sized car - not more than $35. No drop off fees.

It was easy to hail a car agency shuttle outside the cruise terminal.

The return of the car at FLL is also very easy.

You can't hire any transportation for less than that and you have a place to store your luggage while you're touring the area.

I think we've used Dollar and Avis.
