my dh and i are planning an early nov. cruise from athens to barcelona, do my fellow cruisecritics have any suggestions about this cruise? We are a little worried about the weather in nov. , any advice we get will be appreciated.

Go to http://www.wunderground.com/tripplanner/index.asp and enter the city names or airport codes: BCN or ATH and the From and To dates. You should get a day-by-day list of the weather conditions for the last few years. That should give you a good idea of what to expect.

We missed 2 ports on our Venice to Barcelona cruise in November. You have to be prepared for that in November. It can also happen whenever there is bad weather and high seas at any time of year. November just seems iffier.

I was wondering how bad the weather was that the ship had to miss two ports? Was it rough seas or rain?

We missed the port of Sete because of high winds, not rain nor high seas in November of 2006. We got an extra day in Barcelona which made most of us happy.
