Greece/Turkey Cruise on Navigator

Recommended Posts

We did E. Med in the 3rd week of Sept. and the weather was

absolutely perfect. We loved Turkey and had a private tour

which was cheaper than the ship's tours. We did a hamam (Turkish

Bath) while we were there, too. Boy, I've never been so clean:D .

Turkey and Athens were hot! Enjoy your planning.

We didn't sail RCCL to Turkey and the Greek Islands, etc. but I can say that Ephesus was a very interesting excursion in Turkey.

Also, if you dock at Kusadasi, just walk a couple of blocks to the left and you'll be in town, where the shopping is really very good. Athens was okay but I did expect more there. It was very congested.

Rhodes is very beautiful with flowering vines over the streets and a walled city. The Colossus of Rhodes wonder of the world statue is sunk in the harbor there.

Crete ...Try to see the palace ruins of Knossus where the legend of the Minataur originated. (not spelled correctly, but it's close)

Cyprus has beautiful monestaries and a town (Limmosol) near the port that is famous for it's wonderful handmade lace (Leonardo da Vinci bought an alter cloth there).

All of the Greek Islands are very nice so no matter what your itinerary is, I know you'll have a great time.

It will probably be still warm there in September.

Have fun!
