Courtyard FL or Pelican Grand?

Anyone have an opinion btw these two? Will be in 2 nts. pre-cruise with DH (to celebrate his 40th) and DD's (ages 4 and 3). Of all things I am slightly swayed by the Pelican's pool and lazy river feature, but would like something easy and well located (don't care a ton about the beach, we'll be doing that on vacation). And really don't want to deal with a rental car.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I live in Ft Lauderdale and The Pelican is a lovely Old Florida Style hotel/condo with a neat bar and restaurant- rockers on the porch (ocean view and a pool with a lazy river. The Cortyard Mariott is just that. Nothng to write home about. You might try the Mai Kai for a dinner and Polynesian show. Ferdo's for mideastern (small) belly dancer on Saturday! and Buca de Beppo for Italian. All of these places are not too pricy. There is a Greek Taverna N of the Pelican on A1A and Oakland Park Blvd Enjoy your stay in my hometown!
