Cruise Email Address???

We're leaving Sunday, and I just printed out my tickets. Yes, I've registered online,,,,,,,,did that earlier,,,,but my question is what does this cruise email address mean? Is that a quicker more productive way of staying in touch than just getting Internet minutes and going to Yahoo or Hotmail? THANKS for answers on this. I definitely will use email to stay in touch with family back home while at sea.

That's your e mail address onboard the ship if your friends and family want to e mail you.

Yes, you still pay. There are no advantages. Just use your regulare yahoo or hotmail.

much easier to use your web-based email (hotmail, yahoo, etc)..as stated above. plus it's a address you know and use regularly...easier then trying new passwords and junk.

either way you pay for the interent access.

I'd just use your regular email onboard such as yahoo, hotmail etc. I think the cruise email address costs an additional fee.
