Cunard Cruiser Posted January 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Great pictures of QV and QE2 on their Atlantic run. Now one can tell the cruise ship from the ocean liner!! http://www.maritimematters.com/shipnewspics.html

RobertQM2 Posted January 10, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Did the designer of the QV think he was designing a submarine...... Whatever happend in the next moments to both vessels would have been of great interest to me. How QV recovered from the bowdive on one hand but also how deep QE2 set into the next wave. Maybe the expereinced liner buffs on this thread or the CC members on board of both vessels can tell it to me. Thank you in advance for the information. new to cuising Posted January 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2008 When looking at these two photos, note how high the bow of the QE2 is out of the water but also the horizon. Once the horizon is "levelled out" she looks as though the waves are being taken in her stride

Unfortunaltely on our sailings we could hardly find waves higher then 10 feet, so there was practically now movement at all. PS: looking forward meeting you on the journey to the north.
