Time difference?

Please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering if there was a time difference between eastern time and Grand Cayman time. We will be traveling in July if that makes a difference due to daylight savings time.

The Cayman Islands are on Eastern Standard time year-round. We do not observe Daylight Savings Time.

 

In the winter months Miami time is the same as Cayman time since both are on Eastern Standard Time. 9am in Miami = 9am in Cayman.

 

In the summer months Miami time is one hour ahead of Cayman because Miami has shifted to Daylight Savings Time. 9am in Miami = 8am in Cayman.

Hi Drew. It seems by your post that you are a local. My family is interested in a 1/2 day fishing charter. Who would you recommend for that? We were thinking of Capt. Marvins. What do you think of them for fishing?
