ljtee Posted January 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2008 We've chosen the following shore excursions through NCL (not sure we're up for the adventure of doing our own thing with 2 small kids -- risky??)... anyone been on these excursions, or have others they'd recommend: Samana - Cayo Levantado Beach Tortola - Catamaran Cruise Antigua - Stingray Swim and Snorkel Barbados - Atlantis Submarine (any good or a tourist trap?) - mom/2yr old - Turtle and shipwreck snorkel - dad and 5 yr old St. Lucia - Beach Break - Dad and 2 year old - Caribbean Pirates Extravaganza - Mom and 5 year old We don't think land tours would interest the kids - and prefer to stick to the water or things we otherwise would not be able to do at home. Each of the above excursions are about 1/2 day - so we thought we could wander in the remaining free time??? Any thoughts, suggestions?
abitaturbodog Posted January 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Unfortunately, I've never been to any of these places..... But I wanted to let you know that I really like the idea of giving dad and mom some one-on-one time with each child. I'm sure that you'll have a great time! ljtee Posted January 22, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks! We are looking forward to it too and our 5 year old asks us to tell him about his special trips with each of us each night before bed! We are starting to change our minds about some of our choices - so suggestions are welcome.... I have heard the submarine trip might not work for our little guy - need something for Barbados. Also, have heard that the Samana beach excursion does not allow you to come back to the ship early... probably ok, but hard to judge with little ones.
