Country music on Conquest?

Can anyone who has cruised recently on the Conquest, tell me if there are any bands aboard that play country music? Would love to do a little "boot scootin". I'm always a little surprised at the lack of country played aboard ships sailing out of Galveston. It is packed with country music lovin' Texans and us Okies! We just booked today and sail Feb. 24:D

There was country music played but not continuously. Some at the pool on the Lido Deck, some in the disco but not much.

Look at it this way, you're headed to tropical islands... they want to get you in the mood!

Personally, I drag along my MP3 player, really my Treo, and small portable speakers and listen to my music in my cabin. When I'm about the ship I find the music they play perfect!

When I was on Conquest in July there was a man who played country music. I think he was by the Casino. Other than that, I didn't hear much country music. Like Mach said, they want to get you in the "beach" mood!:D I'm a Texan and I LOVED the music on the ship! I also brought my Ipod to listen to on my balcony! Have fun on your cruise!!

When we were on the Conquest a few years ago (out of New Orleans), we heard a lot of country music every night in the piano bar (the piano bar player was a guy named Joe - he might have been from West Virginia but I'm not sure if he is with Carnival anymore). Unfortunately, that was the year before I even knew the most popular country music! (I live on Long Island, NY, where you can't even get any country music radio stations!). There were tons of people from your neck of the woods and they loved it!

You're right!!! That was Randy, the tall guy with the sparkley red, white and blue vest! He was directly across from the casino bar, starboard side.

He was pretty darn good!
