RCCL or Carnival for kids

We want to take a cruise the first week of sept. Our choices are RCCL Marnier of the Seas or Carnival Glory both eastern. This is our first family cruise and want something the kids are going to really enjoy along with us too. My kids will be 3 and 7. Manily looking at the kids clubs and do they have any adult classes you can take (ex. taste testing, etc.). My only expericence is Disney Cruise back in 1999. Prices for both are pretty much the same. So any feedback on either would be great. :D

Thanks so much

We did RCCL Navigator of the Seas for our first family cruise when dd was 5yrs old and she loved the Kids Club and we loved the cruise and ship. I haven't done Carnival so I can not compare.

People say RCCL is a slight step up from Carnival and less rowdy but I can't confirm that. RCCL does have the ice skating which my daughter loved but I am pretty sure the Mariner (who is identical to Navigator) does not have a kids pool although I am not sure the Glory does either.

We took the wine tasting class, DH played Bingo, the casino was very nice, the pub was a great place to hang out and the 2 comedians were saw were very funny. The food was good and the two special restaurants were fabulous. My daughter never wanted to leave the kids club - they had a fabulous program and that was the most important thing for us.

Good Luck!

I cruised CCL in 2005, RCI in 2006 both with a little one (too young for kids club). If the price is the same, RCI in gernal is much nicer! As far as the kid's club, the Camp Carnival on Destiny was dingy and in need of a redo (haha, so was the rest of the ship). It of course, didn't compare with the one on FOS.

In addition, the stuff for adults was better (IMHO) than that on CCL. (think trivia contest vs hairy chest contest) but this is a personal thing (maybe your prefer hairy chest contests)

Hope this helps.
