CB - pre cruise hotel

I have never boarded in San Juan on a Princess Cruise. Any suggestions as to a hotel close to the port for the Caribbean Princess for Nov 30 sailing?

We stayed post Cruise at Caribe Hilton. It was ok but dated. Moretons (I think) have an ace steak restaurant there

The Sheraton OSJ is located right across the street (diagonally) from Pier 4 where you will board. We didn't stay there, but it is very convenient. We chose to stay about 3-4 blocks from the Pier in a smaller hotel called Hotel Milano. You might want to check out the hotels on http://www.tripadvisor.com for current reviews. We have also stayed in the Condado area which is a taxi ride to the pier. Enjoy OSJ - lots of fun!

Stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan 2x prior to sailing the Crown Princess. Very convenient to all of Old San Juan and Pier 4. Be aware that if you have a lot of luggage it may be a little too far to "lug" it all to the ship. Although it's only about 1/2 a mile it can be a little wearing if it is hot. Cabs are available but many won't want too take you on such a short trip. Talk to the bellman or doorman. The hotel is OK, nothing too special but it's convenient and if I were to sail again from pier 4 I would stay there.
