Question on outside movie screens

Just wondering what it was like having the big screens outside during the day. One of the things my husband and I love is sitting by the pool reading and relaxing and can't imagine having videos playing. It just seems like it would kill the cruising feeling and make you feel bombarded by fast pace images when what I want to do is relax. We've not experienced it yet but liked the itinerary of one of the ships with it so wanted to know what it was like. Anybody have an opinion?

Been 4 times, can't wait for #5

There are three other pools that don't have the screen/sound system. Two of them are for adults only. We found many places to lounge away from the pool where the crowds and activity levels were much lower, but the people watching was still excellent.

The first day at sea, we made the mistake of sitting right next to the movie screen. All day long they played videos. All you could hear was the beat, bah boom, bah boom. Wasn't relaxing at all & also very crowded with kids & teens. Next day, & throughout the rest of the cruise, we sat by the spa & adult pool. So much more peaceful.

I’m with ya - although I've not experienced it, it doesn't sound right to me. But neither do ice rinks and rock climbing walls - maybe its me.

There are two main pools mid ship. We lounged by the pool without the movie screen. It is amazing how the sound does NOT carry. We never heard the music from the videos. Just use the pool near the pizzeria.
Good to know!

I must say ....at first I was excited at the possibility that the Golden will have the screen by my cruise....now I am kind of concerned. We have kids so that adult pool is out and the lap pool. The other pool is inside........that leaves the outside pool with the screen...
