Spirit Upgrade offered - Need Advice

Help ! This will be our first cruise ever and we are booked for Western Caribbean in a BF Balcony Gaurantee Nov. 28th. We are being offered an upgrade to BF Deck 10, 10138. What are the advantages and disadvantages of upgrading?

 

Today is final payment day and TA needs an answer soon. I'd appreciate any feedback.

I am a bit confused. Did you mean just a cabin assignment, as opposed to an upgrade? Or did you have a typo? As you had a BF guarantee and are being offered a BF, I don't understand where the "upgrade" comes in.

 

Will try to provide more info once I understand the situation better. :D

I see how that could be confusing. LOL We are currently booked gaurantee in BF but are being offered "BD". Specificaly 10138.

We are just off the Spirit 9/4 sailing. We had cabin 10110 just a few cabins forward of 10138. Our cabin was good and we liked the location on the ship. It was just two decks up to the buffet, pool, sports decks etc., and just two decks down to the other main decks with show lounges and bars etc. so didn't feel the need to use elevators. Btw, the stewards on that section were very good and friendly. If no charge to upgrade then I think that a good cabin. Oh, also liked the colors on that deck, more soothing than some others. She's a very good ship and you'll enjoy her. The Captain is great too.
