grannygristle Posted January 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2008 As you can see from my user name we're cruise virgins. :) Anyway, we've booked a superior outside cabin on the main deck so we're definitely going now :D Cognac and Cafes. There are three of us - myself, my husband and our 14 year old daughter. What tips can you give us about anything really. Thanks in advance

My Dad's been on Black Watch before and has given me some 'pointers' but he cruises quite a lot and has probably forgotten something really obvious:eek: Ah well, I'll just have to wait and see I suppose:) Steph
Ameile Posted April 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Black Watch is our favourite ship, simply nothing to beat her. I would be very surprised to hear any serious complaint. The ship may not appeal to beer and bingo people so the children on board are well behaved. Ships which do not take youngsters often miss out on their parents as well so carry mainly old grumpys' like me and are not half as interesting. Watch out however for the cabins below the galley, they can be noisy. Staff are friendly and helpful, food exellent, main restaurant is spacious and airy, unlike one ship where the restaurant held a thousand people and was hot and depressing. It was about two years ago we last d on her and was very pleased with our cruise.
