Greenland04 Posted January 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Have just read on a similar site that there will not be any Gala Buffets this year on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. Surely, this is a mistake, or does anyone know differently. Would be interested to know. Thanks.

Barkeeper Posted January 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2008 It's not really surprising. It is a magnificant sight and a great photo opportunity but after a formal night dinner no-one really gets stuck in the food and so much must be thrown away. Early sitting may be getting a second wind but having started eating at 8.30 and finishing at 10.30 to stuff again at midnight takes some doing. The chocolate buffet is different and well worth saving as is the white Nights buffet on the Jewel Baltics. Those going to evening ballet and folk shows miss dinner. CLQ Posted January 21, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Embarassed to admit it, but the only Gala Buffet we ever went to was on our first cruise. Everyone had told us that we just had to see it. And it was a spectacle! But, we honestly had to set an alarm clock to get us back out for pictures of it. We're rather early to bed. We weren't their target market.
