FatherOfFive Posted January 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2008 My family of 6 is taking our first Carnival cruise next month on the Legend. Is Wi-fi Internet access free if I bring my laptop? If not how much is it? What is the cheapest way to buy cocktails? For example is there a way to buy a punch card good for 5 drinks - at a discount from single purchases? What should a single cocktail cost on board the ship? Beer? Wine? Soft Drink? What kind of food can I get at 2am? Thanks. -FoF

The advantage of using your own is that you can compose email off-line and, if you use an email client such as Outlook or Outlook Express, you can also download messages and read them offline, thereby reducing the amount of time you have to spend on-line. You can also use your own computer to download your digital photos from your camera to your computer, which may reduce the total number of memory cards needed. You can also use it to play DVDs or games for intertainment for you or the kids just in case they run out of things to do. Carnival's price list and other info about internet access can be found in the Carnnival FAQ under Ship-to-Shore Communication, Can I access the Internet while on board? http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/On_Board_Internet_Cafes.aspx I've never heard of a punch type card on Carnival, however you can prepurchase drink coupons which are 4 for $21.00. You purchase them on-line at http://www.carnival.com/BonVoyage/AddToCart.aspx?pid=BAR. Must purchase prior to sailing.
jleq Posted January 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2008 For example is there a way to buy a punch card good for 5 drinks - at a discount from single purchases? The closest thing there is to a "punch card" can only be bought precruise from the Carnival website...Drink Coupons. Not much in the way of savings--some like them as a way to "budget" their drink purchases. You can also buy "Coke cards" when you board
