Good ship for kids? :D Any advice on where to stay in Tampa the night before we leave that is close to port? What do you do with your car? We are driving, not flying to Tampa. It was replaced by Inspiration which is newer and just had the waterworks upgrade. You can park at the port, it's around $12 per day in advance. You can also book a local hotel which offers free parking and shuttles to/from the port. We stayed at Days's Inn on Dale Mabry, but this was several years ago, so not sure if it's still offered. Very inexpensive, pool, microwave, frig, coffee pot, cont breakfast. Make sure you're on deck when the ship goes under the Sunshine Skyway bridge, that's about 2 hours after sailaway.
