PR1NCESSD1ANE Posted April 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Does anybody know whether or not you are able to bypass the wait for tickets to the memorial when purchasing a tour package either through the ship or privately?
Molokai-Chuck Posted April 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2004 In short....no.....this does not happen. One has to wait in line for a first come ...first serve ticket. Usually the bus tour passengers stand in line like everyone else.....or a tour rep assists....but all must get their own ticket, for the movie/shuttle launch time. It seems to make the most sense to do the tour on our own then. Now I just need to figure out where to put our "stuff" while visiting the memorial, since I understand you are not allowed any backpacks, etc. Is there anyplace nearby that will hold your things for you? bug_dan Posted April 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2004 Baggage storage is available between the Arizona Memorial and the Bowfin/USS MO ticket office. Not sure exactly where but the fee is $2.00 and the two areas are close to each other. If you have the time, walk around the Bowfin area and read about the missions of the submarines lost in the Pacific Theater during WWii. You may even want to tour the Bowfin, but it's not for those who are claustrophobic. Dan Infinity Panama Canal 10/17/2004
