Condition of Summit---T/A Eastbound March '08

Have read some recent member reviews detailing problems with service, condition of ship, bedbugs etc... Did an Eastbound T/A on Constellation in '06 and enjoyed it greatly. Love the sea days -- this would, if booked, be my 5th crossing -- also did two on QE2 and a Radisson Diamond. How bad is the pod situation and when will the ship have a soft goods refit. Thanks for any updates...

I'm not sure about the dry goods refit, but the Summit will be in dry dock after this sailing for some engine conversion work (moving to diesel).

 

We have a good roll call going if you decide to join us.

Just off the Summit. After all the posts I've read, I went in with low expectations.

 

Don't know why I was concerned; it is a beautiful ship and I did not notice anything out of the ordinary. I do hope that those who are concerned or are considering a different cruise will stay with the Summit. She did NOT disappoint. My husband and I agree that this was our favorite ship to date.

We spent two weeks on the Summit in October, we had a great time and the ship was in great condition. We also are on the the Summit's two trans Atlantic's this year and have no concerns.

After I read the review about the bed bugs I nearly died! We have been on 15 Celebrity cruises and they have all been great. We splirged to get the FV cabin this year. I wanted to cry when I read that review...but it is one persons perception and I can't judge from that. Glad to hear all is well! Thanks again!
