Hilton Airport Blue Lagoon Jan 18

We stayed at the Hilton Airport on the Blue Lagoon pre Jan 19th NCL cruise. It was lovely - hotel was very clean and well maintained. There was a wonderful jogging/walking path around the lagoon and a gazebo, which we made good use of - having a before dinner drink out there with our kids (we were cruising with 5 kids and their spouses).

The hotel provided free airport shuttle service and we had just barely walked out of the airport when it arrived (driver was very nice). They come by about every 15 minutes and out other groups said they didn't have long waits at all. The hotel also provides shuttle service to the port for $11/pp. We didn't use it as we had already set up with Top Shuttle for a private van.

Had an excellent dinner at the Cafe at the hotel. James (hotel Manager?) came around during our stay checking that everything was ok - he also took pictures of our tribe for us. Very nice and personable young man.

Also had breakfast there and everybody was satistified with it.

Didn't use the pool (which looked very nice) or the saunas or gym due to lack of time.

Had drinks at the bar after dinner and they were very nice about letting us move tables and chairs into one area where we started our "trip diary".

Priviously had reservations for 6 rooms at Days Inn North for $89 a room but received a lot of negative reports on it. So went to Priceline and kept trying four star airport for $85 - Hilton came through with 6 rooms at the $85 price about a month before our sailing date.

We were very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again. Got to see iguanas on our walk - parrots at the main entrance. Unfortunately didn't come across any manatees in the lagoon although we all looked.

Great Stay.
