kc1005 Posted January 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2008 Anyone stayed at the Doubletree westshore, on Cypress St in Tampa? Good, bad, indifferent? We're looking for a place for 9 of us to stay overnight before our cruise in August. Thanks in advance!
Rancher Dave Posted January 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Anyone stayed at the Doubletree westshore, on Cypress St in Tampa? Good, bad, indifferent? We're looking for a place for 9 of us to stay overnight before our cruise in August. Thanks in advance! I would suggest not...not going there. It has many bad reviews...its old Holiday Inn with some updates. Not what one expects in a 2tree. Try Hampton Inn West Laurel Street about 3-4 blocks closer to airport, realtively new, great friendly staff...
KrusII Posted January 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2008 My DH & I stayed in the tower section on the 8th floor the night before our New Year's Eve Cruise. The hotel, staff and our room were excellent. They gave us warm chocolate chip cookies, assisted us with directions to the Columbia House in Ybor (a must), provided us with free shuttle service to & from the ship and we left our car in their covered parking garage during our trip. All this for only $99, that's $10 more than the charge for parking at the port. They have a nice bar and the coffee shop serves a great breakfast buffet. Call the hotel and ask for The Park & Cruise Special, you will be glad that you did. 1-800-222-TREE Local: 813-879-4800 Fax: 813-873-1832 Email: info@tampadoubletree.com
