Baie Longue beach?

Anyone been there? First, I assume it's "long bay" in English. Am I right? Second, what did you like or dislike about it? I've been trying to search the boards, but I keep getting the error message that the page can't be displayed. Thanks for any tips!

You may have a hard time getting a cab to take you to Baie Longue ( Long Bay/ Longue Bay). We had a hard time finding a cab to take us to Bay Rouge, which isn't much farther, when we got dropped off the cabbie said he wouldn't return and "good luck finding a cab". You may have better luck since there is a hotel there.Your best bet is to rent a car or take the water taxi into town and hire a cab for the day.

It is a lovely beach. There is not much shade but the sand is soft and the water is a lovely shade of turqouise. Bring water as there are no public facilities. I would also rent a car or hire a driver.
