jer_l Posted January 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2008 We're traveling from Washington to Vancouver on Amtrak for a HAL cruise in June. I'll be taking wine on the ship and want to find out about any restrictions on bringing wine from the US into Canada.
pingsplace Posted January 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2008 You can bring in 1.14 litres of wine per adult for personal consumption. I think 1.14 litres = 4 1/2 cups = 2 pints?
Ephraim Posted January 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2008 You are allowed to bring 1.5 litres of wine, which is basically two normal bottles or one magnum, per person. And you must be over the legal age of 19 for British Columbia. See http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/rc4161-eng.html#P007 for legal restritions on alcohol if you want to be more specific about the limitations.
