Changing AFTER Final Payment

My daughter was planning to bring her boyfriend on the cruise, but now they may be splitting up. So I thought maybe I'd bring my mom in his place. So after final payment - has anyone changed passengers? Can it

be done? Thanks!

Yes it can be done. There may be a $50 charge though to make the change.

In our party one of the wives isn't going. So we wanted to move a third party from a different room in her room to replace her. That way there would be two in each room. cost them $250.00 dollars to do this . Our cruise is April 5 2008 and final payment had been paid. Our Ta said there isn't anything she could do..

So they had to paid the extra.

A normal name change is $50.00 normally.

Thanks All! My TA called Carnival and was told it was at their discretion. I guess the girl she talked too said it depends on how full the ship is. My TA said - we would not be adding people - just changing names. The girl said it still is at the discretion of the Carnival at the time.

Well if it was me, I would ask Carnival to waive the $50.00 fee for the name change. After all, it was they who set the precedent for changes after final payment when they changed the price after my final payment (re: Fuel Surcharge) and did not compensate me for making that change, so why should I compensate them for making a change? After all, they are the ones setting the precedent, not me! What can they say? No!? You're not out anything for asking! :D
