Fishing on Belize

Our family did a land tour in December. We stayed 3 hours south of Belize City near Placencia. We did a fishing trip through a guide (he worked for one of the resorts, but took us out on his day off). He took us out to the GB Reef and boy did we have a terrific time!! There were 7 in our group and each one of us caught fish! A lot of barracuda (had to release back), snapper, and mackerel (plus other fish I don't remember the names of). A great feast for that night's dinner. We paid him $350 US (included the tip). Honestly, the most exciting fishing I've ever done. Our lines weren't in the water but a few minutes and we had a fish on! Not to mention the gorgeous Carib!! He should enjoy his trip!!

P.S. Wear a hat & LOTS of sunblock!!
