Laserjock Posted February 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2008 I just noticed on cruisecal that there will be something like 4 ships total ported in St Thomas on the same day as when our cruise will be there. Can anyone tell me what the crowds will be like and how excursions will be most likely affected? We have never been to St. Thomas so I am just curious as to what to expect. Will it be hard to get around and will the beaches be crawling as a result? Thanks in advance...newb here...
eh2zed Posted February 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2008 They can handle as many as 7 ships in St. Thomas. At 4 it will be busy enough but not too bad. We would head to Megans Bay first thing and shop in the afternoon with 4 ships in.
shipty2 Posted February 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2008 Magen's bay will be very busy and crowded. If you want to go there do so early.
bettyboop16 Posted February 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2008 We were in St. Thomas last week and there were 7 ships in port. All the ships except 1 carried over 2000 people. RCI Liberty of the Seas carries over 4000. The downtown area was plenty crowded. We got out of town!!!and went sailing with Jolly Mon. Great sail!!
