SueseaQ Posted February 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2008 I sailed on the Crown in 2006, and am thinking of trying the Carribean this summer. Can anyone tell me how the 2 compare? Thanks for your help.:)

rdsqrl Posted February 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2008 Well, I'll chime in from the other side: I've sailed on the Crown but not on the CB. The differences are that the CB doesn't have the Sanctuay, the International Cafe, Vines, or Adagio. Some of these rooms might show up on the CB's deck plans online (I can't check on that because, as has been often happening lately -- PRINCESS, I HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS -- their website won't display certain decks when I click on the deck name), but they won't be added until the CB goes into drydock, whenever that might be. But people seem to love the CB, as you see by the previous posts, so I'd definitely give her a try, as long as you know what's going to be missing. Rob & Beckys mom Posted February 2, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2008 I sailed on the Crown in 2006, and am thinking of trying the Carribean this summer. Can anyone tell me how the 2 compare? Thanks for your help.:) Go for the C752 balcony aft cabin if you can, it is wonderful:) Remember to say NO upgrade if you are lucky enough to get this one. Scooter-n-GB Posted February 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2008 We'll have a comparison for you in October, but we both had a great time on the CB, this past September! :)
Sandytoes Posted February 2, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2008 I sailed on the Crown in 2006, and am thinking of trying the Carribean this summer. Can anyone tell me how the 2 compare? Thanks for your help.:) What you saw and experienced on the Crown is similar to the CB. I have sailed on both and will be sailing on the CB again this summer. Crown has a different layout. More dining options. The cabins, theater, casino, MUTS, are all the same.

CruiseBumm Posted February 2, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2008 We'll have a comparison for you in October, but we both had a great time on the CB, this past September! :) When in October? We are taking first CB cruise on the 5th. I always remember not to drink a fith on the fourth so I can go forth on the fith. :D :D :D
kates70 Posted February 2, 2008 #11 Share Posted February 2, 2008 I have been on both, and I prefer Crown for the ship features, but the Caribbean for staff and service.

ktmac Posted February 6, 2008 #13 Share Posted February 6, 2008 I've been on both - Caribbean first and LOVED it. I would say if I had the choice I'd do Crown over Caribbean - if only because I LOVED the sushi/wine bar and the international cafe - and the adagio bar had the most amazing Tirimisu martini. That said, I like the Caribbean running track MUCH better - which is actually a nice part of my morning routine I missed on the Crown. So, that makes up for at least the lack of the Tirimisu martini! Either way - both ships were lovely!
Kerry&LuAnn Posted February 6, 2008 #14 Share Posted February 6, 2008 We sailed on the Caribbean Princess twice before trying the Crown Princess. They are nearly the same ship, except that the Crown has the Sanctuary, International Cafe, Vines, and Adagio. But those were not significant differences to us. Our experience (food, service, entertainment) were identical on both ships.
