dutchlove Posted February 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Anybody ever done the zip lines ? If so for what age is this a good activity and is it exciting enough for older teens?
dirtgirl Posted February 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2008 It is definitely exciting enough for older teens. I did it, and I am a lot older than a teenager! It is mainly an obstacle course with some zips thrown in. You are not high off the ground, and you DO need to be somewhat physically fit to do it. We were all sweating at the end, as it is hard work to climb your way through. My kids (10 and 13 at the time) said it was the highlight of the trip.
Gonzo70 Posted February 4, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2008 My fiance and I loved this excursion. I was mid 30s and she was late 20s.
ownedbypets Posted February 4, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2008 We did it last year. It was one of the best excursions that we have ever done. The kids and adults all had a great time.
cleophus12 Posted February 4, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2008 We did it on our own and it was great. We rented a car at the dock (reserved ahead of time) and were away from the pier in less than 30 minutes. The drive to Lotterie Farms was easy, and we did the zip line and were leaving as the shore excursion groups began arriving. They don't ask you if you are on a ship when you show up, and if you arrive early enough they will take you right up. We saved a ton of money and had time to enjoy crepes in town and a beach club for the afternoon. By the way, my 13-year old dd thought it was the greatest thing ever. My husband was exhausted!
