Yellow Dot on Majesty Bridge Cam

Does anyone know what the yellow dot on the front of the ship is for. I am taking a guess that it could be for a helipad, but I am not sure. I'm just curious!

I noticed it last week too and was wondering what it is for. The area is too small for a helipad. It wasn't there on our 8/22 sailing.

I believe it was a crew Jacuzzi (or used to be). A few of the older ships have/had one...but very few crew used it (a bit breezy when underway). They probably removed it and (as someone guessed) they are refinishing the deck.

There was never a jacuzzi (crew or otherwise) in that location on the ship. I can't believe there isn't ANYONE that can answer this question!! The yellow dot wasn't there when we cruised 7/25-8/1...:rolleyes:

It looks like there is a hatch there. Is it for loading cargo? Is the yellow spot there to help align a crane boom?

Just off Majesty 10/3 to 10/10; it is just a painted circle-dont know why, no aparatus is near it (crane/boom?) and not large enough for a helipad. Maybe painted just to make us ask!!

Mystery solved. Looks like it was painted in preparation for drydock. As you can see from the webcam there is a hatch in the center.

I forgot to post this earlier, when we returned from our adventure! During some of the roughest seas, I had a conversation with the Safety Manager on board the Majesty. He indicated that the yellow dot is indeed a beacon for a helicopter, and that shortly after it was painted, it was actually put into service! Apparently a passenger on the ship needed to get to the US and was picked up by a chopper right on that spot!

Sorry it took me so long to post this - seeing the thread brought back onto page one finally reminded me!
