FLL to Port Everglades

We will be taking a taxi directly from FLL to the port in a few weeks. Will we pass a grocery store en route we could stop at along the way?

There is a Publix at Rt 1 and SE 17th St. which is 1/2 mile from the port entrance.

Depending on the ship, there are multiple entrances to the port that the driver might take. Tell him you want to stop at a store first, and they will. For most cruises, they would enter at Eller Drive, which is at the end of 595 across from the airport. Even for Princess, which is closest to 17th St, our cab driver preferred to drive through the port instead of through city traffic to get there.
