KLF Posted February 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2008 We are sailing on the Victory out of Norfolk on June 1. Our itinerary states that we aren't departing until 7:00 p.m. which seems rather late. Does anyone know what time they will start the embarkation process? We plan on arriving at the port around 11:00 a.m.. TIA

Embarkation is usually 2 hrs. prior to sailing time but we have been on cruises and arrived 4 hrs. early only to find the waiting area full and a standing room only crowd. We plan to arrive early [noonish] or so as we are using the pay-to-park area while we are away.

jpmaximus Posted February 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2008 I would contact the cruise terminal or Carnival and ask whats the earliest you can arrive. There is lots of stuff to do nearby in Norfolk if you are bored. Enjoy your trip!

I'm sure Norfolk is lovely, but I think I would rather catch another hour or two of sleep before our drive down that morning, leaving at 7:00 a.m. sounds great compared to being on the road at 5:00. Thanks everyone for your responses
