Inspiration in April... a couple questions?

;) Hiya I am booking the Inspiration for April later this week. I have a few questions if anyone could help.

Are there ever bands on this ship?

Also, is there a "sail away" party?

I was on RCCL for my first cruise and the only band they had was steel drum, which is wonderful, but it was every day for 7 days lol :p

Do they still have midnight buffets? RCCL did not, they only had one poolside party during the week.

Can you pre pay your tips?

Thanks everyone for your help :D

I'm sailing on the Inspiration in April, as well.

There's no organized 'sail away party' so you're pretty much on your own for that but I can guarantee that there will be plenty of folks on the Lido deck having a great time!

You can arrange to pre-pay the gratuity. If you're booking with a PVP or a TA just mention that you want to handle the tips when you book. If you book online you have the option of checking a radio button that adds the costs of the tips to your booking.

Hope you have a great cruise!!

Host Mach;

We sailed on the Inspiration in April '07 - you'll have a great time. Yes, as Hunn Shine said, it's pretty easy to "pre-pay" your tips. Of course, it doesn't hurt to bring tip money with you, you'll avoid some disappointed looks that way. As to the bands - on the Lido deck when we sailed, there were two alternating bands. One was the typical steel drum sort, the other a pretty good combo playing some good Caribbean/Cruise type music. Midnight buffet is a yes, but it was only one night. Of course, you can ALWAYS get food on a cruise ship - room service is free and you can eat pretty good late at night that way. Have a great trip when you sail.

I hear ya' I'm an Inspiration veteran, too. I love that ship. Now that the Evolutions of Fun upgrades are in place I'm sure that she will be even more lovely.

My favorite spot to hang out has always been the aft Lido Deck. The starboard bar and the pizzeria on the ports side are directly across from each other... grab a DOD, a slice of pizza and head aft to sit on the open deck and watch the world slide away into the distance!!

There's not much in life that's more enjoyable than that!!!

:D

Ya' know, it's been about four and a half months since my last cruise and I'm suffering from withdrawal!! I can't wait to get back on the Inspiration. I've got the same Cat 12 cabin booked that I had the last time I sailed on her. I'm anxious to see how they upgraded the cabins.

Was the Hold 'em a poker pro table or was there a dealer??

I'll make sure I'm seated in the Carnivale and will certainly touch base with Anita!

Thanks for the heads up! I'll probably be picking your brain as I get closer to sailing!!

I just got off of the inspiration today and they have 2 poker pro tables. It was very slow and hard to find players.

Hey everyone!

I am also a 1st time cruiser!! We leave on Inspiration April 21st!! I am so excited I can't stand it! You are all a great help - keep the tips coming!!

I've got what I guess you could call a silly question.........do they serve Coke or Pepsi? I was thinking of getting the soda card, but if all they serve is Pepsi products (no harm intended to all Pepsi drinkers) it wouldn't be worth it for me!!
