sexyaznboy Posted February 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Hey guys going on Radiance of the Seas RCL in May, wondering if someone can tell me about the gym there and the spa services, is there an extra charge for the spas, how much and what it includes? Thanks.
LEESRE Posted February 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2008 Gym on Radiance has the usual machines etc. The spa area has sauna an steam which is free of charge but there is also a spa area that you pay for. We found that the free one was OK, large steam room and sauna with plenty of showers etc.

LEESRE Posted February 10, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2008 Not sure how much they charged but the only thing that they had was scented showers, mist showers, also tiled relexation chairs etc. Found that the normal sauna and steam to be just as good. ski ninja Posted February 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2008 If you are talking about spa services like massages and stuff the prices are fairly expesive. There are always "spa specials" like pick any 3 treatments for $99 ( you can pick from things like neck massage, hair styling, mani , or smallish stuff like that). The treatments on the normal menu are fairly similar to things offered at land spas, just pricier. For example, I want to think I remember a 1 hour massage for $165 (regular price). oceandream Posted March 4, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2008 Hi On Radiance of the seas, are sauna facilities (free and paid) are co-ed or separe for men and women. Many thanks.
GigglewolfOfTheSeas Posted April 8, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2008 The sauna & steam rooms are located in the men's & women's locker room (respectively), are complimentary and are not co-ed (clearly ;). The spa facilities that are available for a fee are co-ed.
LEESRE Posted April 10, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 10, 2008 Hello Giglewolfoftheseas. Not seen you on these boards very often of late. Was it you who had been to Las Vegas? If so please let me know.
GigglewolfOfTheSeas Posted April 14, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Yep; I was in Vegas the second week of December, 2007. The Mandalay Bay Spa is FANTASTIC. Luv that place. The hotel itself was pretty nice too. Their gradually performing renovations of the casino and other public areas. Rooms were done last summer. They seem to be heading in a more "contemporary/modern" direction with their design overall (instead of the faux-Mediterranean-style they originally opened-up with), but they seem very careful to phase-in the change and it may be another year or so before the whole resort is in the same style. (You can tell I'm a bit of an architecture freak, right? ;o). Next trip is the Serenade of the Seas to Alaska in about 60 days, then, possibly, the Ruby Princess in December. We shall see. You were headed to the Radiance or Brilliance as I recall (?).
