Room Upgrades!!

So I had read quite a few times that Room upgrades happen, but mostly to platinum cruisers and people who've gone before. But I had seen a few cases that it happened randomly.

 

That case can now be applied to my trip. Before we had originally been a Cat 8 room and I just checked and it says Cat 11 #8271.

 

I haven't told my friends about it yet, but will be pretty sure that they'll be just as happy as we're all first timers!!

 

Has anyone ever had this room or can tell me anything about the suites??

 

There are 4 of us in the room. We were originally in room 8133 on Carnival Legend on the Panorama deck. Same deck, just different direction of the ship.

Thanks! No originally we just had a regular oceanview balcony cat 8.....and i remember looking that the previous room.

 

So yeah...wow....hopefully it stays that way until the cruise.

Actually it is usually the newer cruisers who get the upgrades rather than the Platinum. We have about 23 cruises with Carnival and these days we rarely get upgraded at all. On our last cruise we were even in a cat 1a. Not even an upgrade to a cat 4. So loyalty to the cruiseline has nothing to do with it, they already know we like them and fiqure we will keep coming back. Cindy
