Did anyone miss their Rays, Reef & Rum Point excursion due to tendering time?

Hubby and I really want to book the Rays, Reef & Rum Point excursion through Nativeway in Montego Bay. Problem is, we arrive in Grand Cayman at 10am and the excursion says it starts at 11:15, which seems really tight.

 

Just wondering if anyone has actually missed this excursion because of a schedule like this.

If you can get down to the art gallery desk about 15-20 min before it's posted that they will begin handing out tender tickets...you should be one of the first boats out. We got to shore about 10:40, and after we checked in, they told us to come back at 11:30 (for the same 11:15 tour). We ended up waiting for others, who didn't show up until after noon. As they stroll up and we head off to the van, they could be heard saying that "it's so nice to just get off the boat and immediately go on the excursion." :rolleyes:

 

I understand that they lose money when they leave without people...but it didn't start things out too well. But it ended up being a great day...we just got cheated out of some beach time.

We were off Radiance of the Seas by 10:40 as well, actually had time to walk across the street to Margaritaville and have a drink first. We didn't leave the dock area until 11:40.
