ldparker Posted May 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2004 Hello All: I posted this over on the "questions" board and thought I might get some suggestions here also. I am looking at Hawaii cruises and want opinions on the best time of year to sail. Also is there any advantage in sailing one direction or the other, i.e., from the Mainland to Hawaii or vice versa? spleen93 Posted May 30, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2004 My thought is that if you're going to do an one-way, going from Hawaii to the mainland is probably preferable - you do the busy stuff first and then have sea days at the end to relax before you get off. As to time of year, closer to summer on either side of the season would be probably better in terms of calmer seas. cruisepro19 Posted June 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2004 Hi there, As from experience in working on a cruise ship in Hawaii.... the calmest seas for me were in June. I have never travelled to or from the Mainland to Hawaii, but this was my experience within Hawaii
