Sassy American Bird Posted February 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Hiya all! Sorry if this is a repeat but I have poured through the forum and haven't seen my question specifically addressed here.... I am traveling with my father, mother, husband and 3 year old DD aboard the Carnival Legend March 2 - 9 with a stop in GC. Previously we enjoyed the butterfly farm and beach break booked through the cruise line. This time I am particularly interested in "starfish beach". I was wondering if anyone knows if we can take a taxi directly out to starfish beach or if we have to go with a tour company. I have come across many independent companies that include starfish beach with the stingray and rum point tour but am particular interested in going just to this beach. (Mother and DD wouldn't snorkel and wouldn't enjoy hanging out on the snorkel boat...) If it isn't convenient for a taxi to starfish beach, how about going straight to Rum Point fby taxi from the pier? All advice is appreciated.... jean-lynd Posted February 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Starfish beach is near Rum Point so they are both about as far from the pier as you can get. A taxi will be very expensive and getting one when you want to return will not be easy unless you make arrangements to be picked up with the person that drops you off. You would be much better off renting a car. I hope this helps!
caymanjohn Posted February 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Contact - Seabridge International Phone: 345-525-0760 Email: seabridgeintl@aol.com They used to combine Starfish Point (that's it's correct name) with Stingray City using little power boats you self-drive. To be honest if you are planning to do it by road, it's not really worth the effort.
