Rates on island are fixed, they use a rate sheet rather than a meter.

 

But be careful they actually use the laid down rates, if you get quoted "$50" out of the blue they are probably ripping you off. It's definitely best to tell them where you want to go and ask how much it will be before you get in.

 

I have a feeling that at least one of the island tours go to QEII if you don't mind traveling by bus.
