Hi DAWN LOVERS

Please say it aint so! I just heard that the private island GREAT STIRRUP CAY that the Dawn sail's to is not there anymore. It was ruined by the storm. What happened to the people that lived on the island that work in those hut's?

Did anyone hear something different?

I was under the impression that no one acually lived on the island and that all those who worked there were shuttled there by boat. I'm sure that everyone had enough advance notice to evacuate the island.

There were people living on the island, there was a house way back in the corner past where the hut's were that they were selling things from. We were talking to one of the people that worked there and that is what we were told.

Just a suggestion...you might want to post this on the regular NCL board. You will get a lot more potential information since this is the roll call board.

 

 

Just to add to the discussion. Yes, there are people that actually live on the island. They are caretaker/maintenance workers. Most all of the people that sell in the little "market" area live on neighboring islands.
