Lsimon Posted February 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I don't know if they ever let people on at 11 but usually not long after that and generally by noon - although it can be delayed if the debarkation runs late or if they need to do any special cleaning on the ship like they do if it had any noro on the prior cruise. Sometimes if you get on real early they don't have all services - for example we've gotten on before they start passing out champagne, escorting to rooms, etc. Also the staterooms generally are not ready until 1PM, if you get on earlier you'll be directed to the pool/buffet area but all public areas of the ship will be open to you. Sea Island Lady Posted February 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I have boarded a ship anytime from 10:30 - noon. On my recent Century cruise, we were onboard by 11:30. Get to the port no later than 10:30 - 11:00 to be one of the first to board.;)

CatServants Posted February 15, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I guess you're doing a b2b, NCL Pearl then X Millie. Sounds very nice! I hope you don't have too long a wait between cruises, but I'll bet you can find lots of things to do in port if you wish. Plus, I may be wrong, but don't you have to change Ports? Miami to Ft Lauderdale, right? That may eat up your dis/embarkation differential as well. I hope it all works out. Have a great vaca! Happy cruising! Denise YOU ARE CORRECT.GOING FROM THE PEARL TO THE MILLENIUM.TAXI RIDE TO FORT LAUDERDALE LAST YEAR-DID THE SAME-DIFFERENT SHIPS-WAS 75 BUCKS TOTAL.NOT BAD AND WAS THERE BEFORE OTHER SHIP FINISHED DISEMBARKING SO STILL WAITED.AM DOING IT AGAIN BECASUE I WANTED A LONGER VACATION AND HAVE HEARD A LOT ABOUT MILLENIUM.IT IS A BIT OF A PAIN AND WILL PROBABLY NOT DO IT AGAIN BUT ONCE YOU GET THROUGHA FEW HOURS OF INCONVENIENCE YOU HAVE A BRAND NEW CRUISE TO EXPERIENCE. lIKE TO BE ON SHIPS EARLY SO NO TIME IN PORTS.WE GO A FEW DAYS BEFORE IF I NEED TO DO STUFF.
