Dave85 Posted February 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2008 Nice ship, oceans of the world / under the sea decor. One of my favorites. Also just had a nice dry dock with the addition of one of those big screens on the Lido Deck.
Molly BPOE Posted February 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2008 We were on Victory in May 2006, but we did the Eastern Carib. so I can't help you with ports, but the ship is beautiful. The only complaint I have is that not all the decks go all the way through so it is not as easy to navigate as some other class ships. The aft pool area by Sirens bar is a great place to kick back and hang. This area is partially covered and has a sliding roof, if it rains they close the roof and viola'! Covered pool. I had a ball playing Texas Holdem in the casino. If you are looking for a quiet place to just hang and read or spend time with your girlfriend, try going outside on deck 3, there are chaise lounges and it is very quiet. The deck is shaded so if you are looking for time in the sun you will need to do the Lido deck or higher, but for quiet lounging, this is the spot. cruisetmc Posted February 17, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2008 We were on the victory for the 7 day Canada/New England 2 years ago. We loved the ship. Our favorite pool was the one in the back of the ship with the retractable roof. Loved the piano bar and the disco. dining room was excellent. You'll love the ship. Was the Texas holdem real against other players or was it on a computer screen?

smpd24 Posted February 18, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I was on Victory a few weeks ago and did those same ports. Although I have nothing to compare it to, it was great! I will agree on the decks that don't go all the way through are confusing but by the second to last day you will have it. ;) The casino is great! We spent every night there. Most of the dealers are fun and the pit boss Coral is cool too. The hold em was the computer screen. Never seen that before. The first night there were $3 tables. Yay for 3am pizza. And boy does that water in the pool slosh back and forth. Ours was a music cruise so the concerts on the Lido deck were big fun. The captains party was the best! Free drinks and people walking around with appetizers. I would suggest looking at the ports of call threads for ideas on what to do. I am sure you'll have a blast.
