JBecker Posted June 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2004 Hello to all. Been lurking on this board on and off for a few months. Planning 3/17/05 cruise on Legend of the Seas. There are three "can't miss" activities that our family would like to do. First is Old Lahaini luau (reservations already made), second is bike ride down volcano, third is whale watching. We'll be overnight in Maui, and this looks like the best place for the luau and the bike ride. The ship has a shore excursion from Maui whale watching which COULD fit into the schedule, but I'm looking for advice about any other islands or stops that offer whale watching (preferably near the dock)so that we could spread our wish list out over the trip. Quartetlead Posted June 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2004 Last December, we used the Pacific Whale Foundation tour which leaves right out of the pier in Lahaina. The web site is pacificwhale.org. It was a great trip with very knowledgeable guides. We even saw a couple of whales although it was very early in the season. There were a large number of bottlenose dolphins which came right up to the boat. I believe they have an internet discounted price.
