Someone mentioned that there is a way to open the dividers so that 2 balconies could be together. Is this true?

It would depend on what ship. On Century the balcony dividers between adjoining rooms do open in some cases. We had the divider opened on our 1/26/08 cruise between our two cabins.

Aft Cabins on the Penthouse deck of all M-Class ships do have opening balcony dividers. PH->SS->CC->Access Hallway.

When we were on Infinity some time ago our friends had their dividers opened. Not all do.

No they are not easily opened. Most of them have had their mechanisms painted shut.

FunLoving, if you don't have adjoining cabins, why would you want to open the balcony with the strangers next door? (even if you could, which I don't think you can).

We aren't strangers; we are a group of 8 with 4 cabins side by side, just not "adjoining."

Ah, gotcha! I was picturing you opening the balcony on the poor unsuspecting couple next door to you!

If you get lucky and do have dividers that open you will need to ask your cabin steward to get them opened for you on day one. After that they will remain open for the duration of the cruise. It's not something you do yourself.

don't worry, we had seven people on our deck on the constellation for a pizza and beer party, they may not be adjoining, but theres plenty of room for everyone.:)
