Good morning everyone....:D

Does anyone know when itineraries and bookings will open for these new ships.....can't wait to sail on them...!!!

Erin

Erin ~ bookings are to open in August this year so should know deck plans and itienerary shortly before. Itinerary will be Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale but not sure if east or western.

She is to arrive in the USA in November /09 so look for the first sailing sometime that month.

:) Finally our ship has a name!!!!:D :D

Emmy, are you still planning on doing the first sailing?

Hi Jan ~ very exciting to finally know what the ship will be called.:)

have not made my final decision but leaning towards NOT being on the first sailing. Really the inaugural of Freedom was not that different from any of my other RCI sailings in fact I found the C & A sailing was made more special by RCI for the cruisers.

I am thinking this ship will have so much to see and do that perhaps B2B after a few months of sailing when pricing would be less expensive would be a better option. I know I will not get to see and do all on one sailing.

I remember disembarking from the Freedom inaugural sailing thinking I was so glad I would be back in 4 months on the C & A sailing to enjoy the ship the second time.

Maybe I will just let you and the Critters come back and tell all :) Indeed an exciting day though:)

Ok Emmy, it has a name now and the thread has been re-named as well. It will be interesting to see when you all book. Hopefully by then I can find a roommate or win the lottery or decide it is worth it. I base my cruises on Cost/per day. I will definitely have a Next Cruise ready just in case. I also have one on Princess that I must use.

I am driving home to Louisville today to visit family. Honestly I have been traveling so much I haven't been home to see family there since Christmas.

I like the name OASIS OF THE SEAS but it will be hard to forget the name Genesis......Now I can't wait for the deck plans to come out and for the end of August to book:D

I hope to book after it sails as to hear the coments from others who will sail on her first;) I am hopping for a Crown & Anchor Member cruise within the first 6 months and do a b2b as it will be to big to see and enjoy it all in 7 days:D

Our Liberty inaugural was fantastic last year (the week prior to the outbreak). They may have been overcompensating for the lack of Freedom activities (Ken even mentioned that they "learned" from freedom). Perhaps RCI has learned? Any insights from Independence?

Curious as to what was different on the Liberty inaugural sailing. What did you receive or how were you treated differently?

On Freedom we were greeted by a glass of champagne when we boarded. Then we received one night a photo of the ship and a certificate saying we were on the inaugural sailing in a leather like photo case.

We received some pins & very smalll insulated lunch bag that they spelled inaugural incorrectly on.

Only island that even acknowledged the Freedom was Montego Bay in Jamaica and they did an awesome job with a concert pierside by Shaggy. Nothing special at any of the other islands.

Those are the names I loved for, and I believe they are the best, Oasis and Allure. I thought they would rather have a name that reflects size, but I guess they are not going that route, and going the route of like a paradise place, a heavenly place.

Awesome pics! Wow, she's really coming along.

Now that they've been officially accepted those names, I'm actually starting to like them. LOL

I was glad a fellow Michigander/Metro Detroiter won!:D

Hey Emmy,Carol and everyone else.

Cruisecrazycanuck.

Not sure if we have crossed paths before. I see we are from the same city. My DH and I are patiently awaiting the release of deck plans/bookings to open or any more info on "neighborhoods. When do you plan on booking. We along with our kids and friends plan on early Dec.
