Matt1108 Posted February 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2008 Unlike myself who loves snorkeling and the water, my wife would rather lounge on the beach. She would like food, drink and restrooms as well. Is Rum Point a decent place for lounging and snorkeling? Or, where else would you suggest that would be good for both of us???? 2boysonly Posted February 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2008 We just returned from a stop in Grand Cayman and went to the trouble to rent a car to drive to Rum Point Beach. Don't be deceived, it is very crowded beach. Various tours make lunch stops at Rum Point so it is very busy. In my opinion, it was not worth the car rental and 45 minute ride to get there. If you want to lounge on a beach and snorkel, stick with seven mile beach. You will not escape the crowds by going to Rum Point and it is quite a drive. Thanks for the info - My wife and I are considering going to Rum Point when we're in town. Can you elaborate on what made the trip not worth it? Was it the drive? What day were you in port?
