Go38car Posted February 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2008 I was wondering the same thing. I don't see a Concierge Lounge on any of the decks. So what makes these rooms different than any others?
JanineM Posted February 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2008 This is from X's website on Solstice: Concierge Class Indulgences: • Welcome champagne • Daily fruit selection • Fresh-cut flowers • Daily hors d'oeuvres • Pillow Menu - Conformance, Body, Goose, and Isotonic® • Duvets and pillow-top mattresses • Leather key holder, personalized stationery and a tote bag Frette bathrobes • Hansgrohe® showerhead • VIP invitations to events • Early embarkation and debarkation • Dining and seating preference • Preference on shore excursions • Express luggage delivery • Shoeshine service We are in a CC cabin for the first time on our next cruise. We wouldn't have made this choice, but there was virtually no difference in the fare so we thought we'd give it a try. I read somewhere that the balconies are slightly larger in CC cabins, so there's a table out there that is suitable for in-room dining.

Lsimon Posted February 24, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2008 I haven't look at the Solstace much, but on the othr ships the CC rooms tend to be in the more desirable locations and on the M class ships they are a little larger than the other veranda staterooms. We usually go for the CC rooms, but my advice is if the price difference is high enough to put a strain on your budget and take away dollars from other cruise activities then it probably would be better to take the lesser room and use the cruise budget $$ to use in other areas like excursions or on-board spending. Rare shipshape sam Posted February 24, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2008 I am Captains Club elite and I have sailed both CC balcony cabin and non CC balcony cabin and if the cost of a CC cabin is about $10-15 per day higher/ person, we felt it was worth it. Once it goes beyone $15/day/person we do not see the value based on our cruises. The good/bad news is that someone else could see or not see the same value at the $10-15 per day per passenger difference. Our next cruise is CC, but the one after that, at this point, will not be due to the price difference.
WineDown17 Posted February 25, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2008 Dh and I were married on Summit way back in 2002, and had a CC room (Celebrity Suite) What we enjoyed most (and spoiled us FOREVER) was: -Butler service for breakfast, cooked to order, in our rooms every morning. NO BUFFETS OR LOOKING FOR SEATS! Sitting in our robes with no cattle call. This really made it vacation. -Butler service in the afternoon for tea, and snacks.. all we had to do was mention the things we liked (shrimp cocktail, etc) and he made sure we had it available every day. Again, nice to have when getting ready for dinner or after a long day. -The ability to get help for basically anything. We have done it both ways and the gold room key definitely gets you special attention we did not get previously or since. Finally, the PH floor was much quieter than other floors due to having feweer rooms, and less foot traffic.... Just MHO... Looking forward to the CS rooms again next May when we do the MEditerranean... if only it didnt take so long to save for this perk!! :)
